New start-up Encory collects and prepares

Making better use of used vehicle parts

Berlin/Munich. The ALBA Group and the BMW Group have today founded the joint venture Encory GmbH, based in Unterschleißheim near Munich, which will recover, process and market used vehicle parts. Encory, in which the two companies each hold a 50 per cent stake, will also offer disposal solutions for vehicle parts and residual materials as well as related logistics and consulting services. The aim of the company is to increase the proportion of high-quality vehicle parts that can be reused and at the same time to organise the collection and processing of used parts effectively and efficiently. Within the ALBA Group, the investment is managed by Interseroh Dienstleistungs GmbH. Interseroh not only contributes its experience in closing material cycles and as a logistics coordinator to the joint venture. The recycling specialist also has experience in setting up take-back systems and a network of partner companies through which it operates return logistics systems. Interseroh is already active in the management of vehicle workshop waste.
