Secure erasure of data: Interseroh confirms partnership with Blancco

Sustainability and data protection during IT refurbishment +++ Environmental services provider is “Logistics Blancco Gold Partner for ITAD” +++

Cologne. The environmental services provider Interseroh is now working together with Blancco, the leading provider of software for the secure erasure of data. As a “Logistics Blancco Gold Partner for ITAD” (ITAD = IT Asset Disposal), Interseroh can now further optimise its service offering in the area of IT refurbishment and offer a certified solution for the erasure of data on used PCs; notebooks, servers, smartphones and tablets.

“We are pleased about this partnership because Interseroh stands for sustainability and reuse,” emphasized Tanja Kühnl, Managing Director of Blancco Central Europe GmbH. Jan Höschel, Head of Business Center ReUse at INTERSEROH Dienstleistungs GmbH, added: “Our objective is to combine the extension of the product life cycle with high standards of data protection. Enabling the secure reuse of the devices together with their hard disk and data medium means that we can save valuable resources.”

Interseroh currently processes some 200,000 IT and telecommunications devices per year and organises every step along the path to reuse. This includes the collection throughout Europe, as well as the erasure of the data and technical functional tests at the end-of-life service centres in Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt/Main. The partnership with Blancco means that the devices can now be processed efficiently and reliably on the basis of the server-based erasure of the data and the recognition of the components by the software partner. Following each erasure procedure, a comprehensive, digitally signed erasure certificate is created automatically. In this way, Interseroh is able to offer its customers added security in the scope of its ISO-certified procedure: The changeover to the software from Blancco, which is recognised and certified by numerous government agencies and testing organisations, means that the reuse of ICT equipment is linked securely to a practised form of resource protection which is of even greater interest for the customers.

About Blancco:

Blancco is the industry standard in the area of the erasure of data and the diagnosis of mobile devices. With the data erasure solutions from Blancco, thousands of businesses and organisations can access the requisite tools to securely delete the data from IT assets and to enhance their endpoint security guidelines. The erasure of data by Blancco is verified, certified, approved and recommended by more than 15 governmental agencies and leading testing organisations worldwide.
