Interseroh represented at international trade fair PLASTPOL for the first time

Leading event of the plastics industry in Central and Eastern Europe

Cologne. This year, INTERSEROH Dienstleistungs GmbH is represented at PLASTPOL in Kielce, central Poland, for the first time. Next week, from23 to 26 May 2017, the environmental services provider will present its Recycled-Resource business area and the associated services range at the international trade fair for plastic and rubber processing (Hall D 29).

At the trade fair, the subsidiary of the international recycling specialist ALBA Group will present the process (Recycled-Resource) it developed itself for the sustainable production of high-quality regranulate to a wide specialist audience. Interseroh manufactures the recycled plastics Recythen and Procyclen that result from this process from a large number of used plastics from the recyclables collection of the dual systems, according to customer wishes, individual requirements and intended purpose.

“PLASTPOL is hugely important for the industry and therefore offers a fantastic opportunity to present oneself to potential customers,” says Dr Manica Ulcnik-Krump, Head of Research and Development for Recycled-Resource at Interseroh. “The recycled plastics produced in our process are used in many areas including the construction, garden, supply chain and household industries – with this diversity, we also hope to reach a large breadth of interested parties at the trade fair.”

The Recycled-Resource process has won multiple awards and is based on a complex upcycling and recompounding process. The comprehensive, high-tech sorting of the plastic waste is followed by the re-compounding, encompassing the extrusion, re-stabilising and reconstruction of the molecular structure as well as the chemical modification with the addition of additives in order to achieve the precise plastic characteristics that are required by the customer. This results in high-quality, customised plastic granulates, whose use, according to a study of the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT, makes a valuable contribution to sustainable use of primary resources compared to new granulate and reduces the greenhouse gases produced in manufacture by 30 to 50 per cent.

PLASTPOL is a four-day international trade fair focusing on the topics of plastic and rubber processing. In addition to a comprehensive conference and seminar programme, approximately 800 exhibitors from 32 countries are presenting product innovations from all areas of the plastics industry this year. Approximately 18,000 industry representatives, specialised journalists and representatives of specialist publishers as well as institutions associated with the industry are expected at the pure business-to-business event. The trade fair has taken place annually since 1997 and is considered the leading event of the industry in Central and Eastern Europe.
