Interseroh presents comforter teddies to Porz am Rhein Hospital

For the little patients

Cologne. The Cologne-based environmental services provider INTERSEROH Dienstleistungs GmbH presented 200 comforter teddies to Porz am Rhein Hospital for the sixth time today. The cuddly bears make uncomfortable examinations easier for a child. In addition, they can accompany the little ones into the operating theatre and during therapies, and make it easier for the doctors to communicate with the children.

Dr med. Alfred Wiater, Senior Physician at the Porz am Rhein Children’s Hospital: “For children, a stay in hospital is associated with uncertainty, and often with high anxiety. The comforter teddies make the time in the clinic easier for the children. Since public funds for this are lacking, we are delighted to receive this donation from Interseroh once again.”

Including today’s donation, the value of the teddies sponsored by Interseroh is a total of 12,000 Euros.

“We see ourselves not just as a Cologne-based employer, but also as an intrinsic part of society. Consistently fulfilling our social responsibilities in the region is therefore a matter of course for us,” says Markus Müller-Drexel, Managing Director of INTERSEROH Dienstleistungs GmbH.

Interseroh has been active in the field of corporate citizenship for more than 14 years. Alongside sponsorship of KidS – the child and youth facility in the city of Cologne – this includes operational typing for the German Bone Marrow Donor Registry (DKMS), blood donation campaigns with the German Red Cross or regular support for children in hospitals, among other things.
